baby girl has a name

Miriam Dawn

Miriam has been on the top of the list for some time now. We started out slowly using it a couple weeks ago to see how it felt. It feels right. I think it is a beautiful name. Dawn is for my mom. We always knew that would be the middle name. I love being able to call my baby more than just "Baby". It really does help us all feel more connected to her.

  3. Pretty. And yes, so much more connective than just "baby". Congrats on deciding. You know I think I told you that Arn and I almost got divorced trying to think of a name for Asher.

  4. Miriam is one of my favorite names of all time. I have a sister in law named miriam so we decided not to use it for any of ours. I am particularly enamored of the nickname commonly attached to the name...Mim. A little baby Mim is about the most adorable thing you could think of. Look forward to seeing little miriam on the outside soon!

  8. I love the name Miriam! I've always wanted to use it for a baby girl of our own, but Ry's cousin is named that, and it doesn't go well with Marie (my father's mother's middle name - she died when he was 13, and I've always wanted to honor her). I'm so glad you've picked a name: it's beautiful!

  10. Oh, I forgot to mention (the funny part) the reason I didn't want to name Dana Miriam is because we already had a Levi, and I thought everyone would think we were Jewish (not that we don't believe in the OT, but you know).
