I am 27 years old today. That is sounding dangerously close to 30. I'm not even sure why I care. My husband is 32 and I have many friends who are in their 30s but for me to be 3 years away from 30 seems so strange. I think in my head I'm still 23. For years before that I was 17 in my head. I guess my mind will catch up to actual time eventually. Maybe.
So I'm also 18 weeks along now. I saw my midwife yesterday and we got to see our little babe again. He or she is getting big! The baby now has these really long skinny legs. We go for the big ultrasound on February 9th and will hopefully be able to tell the gender. I'm ready to be able to call this baby he or she. We have boys named picked out but aren't decided on a girl's name.
I busted out the maternity jeans today for the first time. They don't really stay up but we went to an Indian buffet for lunch and I wanted my belly to have ample room so I could stuff my face. It was gooood. Oh and did you notice I actually did my hair today? That is a very rare occasion these days. It just takes too long to blow dry and straighten. I can't believe I used to do that nearly every day with even longer hair.
It's been a good birthday. I got to take a nap and Jared has been really sweet. He's changed all of Asher's poopy diapers today. :-) That is love.

LOVE that picture. You are such an adorable pregnany lady :). Happy Birthday!
ReplyDeleteKatrina, blue definitely looks lovely on you with your beautiful red hair! I appreciate the effort you took to do your hair...I'm worried. I have never done my hair everyday and I don't even have children yet. Beware! Happy Birthday!!

ReplyDeleteYou look adorable. Happy Birthday!
ReplyDeleteHappy Birthday Katrina! I was thinking about you on Friday, honest! Remember how you and that Grant kid have the same birthday? Remember how we were roommates one time? Ah BYU. . . You are workin' that hair do by the way. Love it.
ReplyDeleteYou look so cute. Happy birthday!
ReplyDeletePretty freakin' cute.
ReplyDeleteHappy Birthday! And I can't wait to hear the gender, and now I want to hear the names! Nothing stirs up blog comments like a discussion of baby names! Bring it on.
Happy birthday!
ReplyDeleteAlso - buy a BeBand. Fifteen bucks. Target. They help hold up too-big maternity pants, and then cover the "panel" when your shirts don't do the job.
Best fifteen bucks ever! I wear mine almost every day.
happy birthday, katrines! you are such a dear. i love that i get to see you at least once a month and pick your brain about all things vegan and hypnobaby. ;D
ReplyDeleteHappy birthday! I love your hair being longer. It is such a beautiful color!

ReplyDeleteMy favorite thing about this picture: how happy you look. Love it.
ReplyDeleteps...for some reason the other day I remembered that time that we tried using your mom's hot curlers, and we kept dropping them and burning our feet because they were rolling across the floor. I have NO idea why I thought of that but I started laughing out loud. Also, do you remember when we were pretending to be Indian maidens and we decided that the big strips of sod waiting to be placed on the lawn were our buffalo skins? And we washed off ALL THE SOIL in the creek? and then the grass floated away? oops.
anyway, I just thought of those the other day and it struck me as really funny.
You look great! Happy late birthday! Grow baby grow!
ReplyDeleteYou do look great, and I hope you had a fantastic birthday! I know what you mean about the age thing... I'm starting to wonder if I'm supposed to start feeling old or something sometimes. It's weird. It's all relative anyway right? But, I'm sure glad you're my sister!
ReplyDeleteHappy b-day! (late). You look very cute, and I'm excited to find out what you're having!
ReplyDeleteYou look gorgeous in that picture!! I hope I'm that cute when I'm pregnant! Happy birthday & congrats on the pregnancy!
