one of those days

Ick. I'm having one of those days. The kind where you just feel off but can't quite put your finger on the exact reason why. Although I do have a few suspicions--

My long awaited camera is back ordered.
I'm at work doing stuff that I could care less about when I would rather be at home getting ready to move.
My house is one big pile of stuff that needs to be organized and packed.
I have a mild headache.
My ever growing tummy is starting to cause aches and pains, and although it's not too terrible now, I know it's just going to get worse.
After getting a slow start, I now seem to be putting on the pregnancy pounds much quicker than the recommended one pound per week. If I continue at the rate I've set the past few weeks, I'm going to be huge by the end. Here's hoping this is just a phase.
I'm really, really sick of my job. But at the same time feel bad that I have to go part-time and then quit fairly soon. Still, I really, really didn't want to come back after lunch today.

Ok enough of that. I think I'm feeling mildly better already just getting that out there. As I said, it's just one of those days.

  1. We all have them, Dearie, don't worry about it.

and the pounds thing? Tell me about it! I blame it on the fact that it's a boy and boys are generally always bigger than girls.

As for the aches and pains, I recommend a heating pad. As totally old fogyish as that sounds, it really does work--set it on low and curl up with a book...you'll feel right as rain.

If that doesn't work, ice cream will! :)

  2. I had one of those too! I woke up with a headache to a soggy gray sky. Ick.

The heating pad is a great idea. If you don't have one, fill one of Jared's socks with rice or wheat, tie the end off, and microwave it for 2 minutes. Seriously...lifesaver. And don't feel bad about spending the evening on the couch, because that's what I did every single day after work when I was pregnant with Abigail.

And my cure for a lousy day...I mixed up some apple-walnut whole wheat bread, and then indulged myself into a carbohydrate heaven. Aaahh. Food. My friend.

  4. I'm so sorry sweetie! If I were there I'd scoop you and your belly up and take you out to your favorite restaraunt for a girls' night. You've got a lot on your plate right now!

  6. I wish I could say it's going to get easier, but I'm sure you know it's going to get harder. lol
At least the minute you have the baby all the aches and pains are gone and you forget how bad it was almost immediately.

Don't worry about weight gain in the middle of the pregnancy. I gained the majority of my weight in my second trimester with all three pregnancies. Plus, I've seen your pictures and I think you look perfect. Seriously you're such a cute pregnant lady :)
