visiting the fire station

Yesterday our church playgroup took a trip to our local fire station.  The fire fighters were so nice and showed us all around. We saw where they sleep and eat and then the best part--the trucks! We also got to see inside an ambulance.

Asher is obsessed with cars and trucks (which he unfortunately says with an "F" instead of a "T") so I thought he was going to be so excited. Instead he hardly showed any emotion the entire time. I think  he really did have fun though because he's been talking about ever since.

It wasn't until we got home that I realized his cloth diaper had come undone under his too small overalls. Hence, the funny bump under his pants in the pics.

  1. So we've been having problems with the diapers coming undone (worst was when Isaac pulled his diaper out through his romper and dropped it on the floor of the grocery store!). Neil's genius solution--we cut a couple of Velcro strips long enough to reach across the front of the diaper and hold the tabs down. Voila! No more unstuck bumGenius. :-) Hope that helps!

  3. We went to the fire station recently too! But, I just got some friends together, so we only had five kids... and five adults. So fun. I hadn't known before how easy it is to go visit! We took them thank you cookies the next time they were on duty.
